Description
Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, the Byrd Gooney is an exceptionally designed folding knife. The unusual blade shape combines the most important elements of the Sheepsfoot, Hawkbill, and our Reverse “S” patterns to create an extremely versatile and powerful profile. The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel and features a fully serrated SpyderEdge blade, making even demanding tasks such as cutting rope a breeze. This version features a linerless handle that includes gray, peel-ply textured G10 scales and a sturdy back lock mechanism. To keep the knife ready for quick access, the handle is equipped with a four-way reversible pocket clip that allows for left or right carry configurations, as well as tip-up or tip-down carry. A generously sized lanyard hole also makes it easy to attach lanyards and safety lines.
