The newest member of this prestigious family features precision-crafted scales made of red “Dark Matter” fatcarbon carbon fiber. Manufactured by fatcarbon Materials of Lithuania, the “Dark Matter” handle scales are made from recycled carbon fiber material, bio-based epoxy resin and organic pigments. They are then “forged” under high pressure and heat to create an incredibly strong, lightweight, chemical-resistant material that is stunningly beautiful and complex. The stunning scales on this knife highlight the Chaparral's proven design features, which include a fully flat ground, satin-finished CTS XHP stainless steel blade, a fully accessible thumb hole for ambidextrous one-handed opening, a reliable back-lock mechanism, and a deep-carry wire clip that is reversible for discreet left or right-side up carry
