Description
Designed by knifemaker Ed Schempp, the aptly named Balance is the perfect embodiment of symmetry. Closed, it is a compact expression of perfect balance. Opened, however, it is an amazingly ergonomic tool that cuts with the presence of a much larger knife. Originally introduced in 2010 and later discontinued, this remarkable design is now available again as a limited edition Sprint Run model. The down-curved blade is ground from Spyderco's proprietary CPM SPY27 stainless steel and features a generous index finger choil that allows for exceptional control during use. The satin-finished blade is paired with a unique handle that features stainless steel scales on one side and a removable G10 handle scales on the other. The stainless scales are precision machined to provide a stable base for the Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism to lock the blade, while the G10 scales are cobalt blue - one of the signature colors of Spyderco's CPM SPY27 family.
