Kirk Mayberry is the founder of KM Designs and lives in Tennessee, USA. As an Eagle Scout and full-time mechanic, he developed an early passion for functional tools that reliably fulfill their purpose. His interest in knives arose from the desire to always have the best possible tool available for the task at hand. This enthusiasm eventually led to the decision to design and manufacture his own knives. Supported by experienced craftsmen, Mayberry acquired the necessary skills and developed his own design language, which focuses on functionality, ergonomics, and practicality. His knives are characterized by robust construction, clean lines, and a consistent focus on actual use.
