It all began in 1932 when brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle turned their passion into a profession in a small forge on their family farm in the picturesque village of Holmedal, on Norway's breathtaking west coast. Inspired by their father, the village blacksmith, they set about designing knives that perfectly combined form and function. Today, their legacy lives on as their grandchildren continue to work alongside skilled local craftspeople in the same village. Surrounded by majestic mountains and deep fjords, the Helle team remains driven by the same mission: to create knives that not only function but also connect you to the beauty of nature.
