The CAC is already the third generation of the versatile mission knife that Tarrerias - Bonjean has developed especially for the French Army. Uncompromising design, lightness and robustness are the essential characteristics of the tactical knife. Technically more sophisticated than its predecessors, the CAC is the answer to the French Army's demand for a no-compromise, ambidextrous knife that can be opened and closed with one hand. In its development, TB-Outdoor again collaborated with Philippe Perotti, who was in the French Special Forces at the time and was able to use his extensive experience to maximize the knife's efficiency. The Nitrox blade (X35Cr16N) with a smooth grind opens silky smooth via thumb stud, while the slider allows for intuitive unlocking of the knife. The textured green PA6 polyamide handle provides a secure grip and houses a belt cutter and a glass breaker. Features a convertible tip-up clip.

Ein tolles, durchdachtes Messer!

Eigentlich wollte ich mir (mal wieder) ein Klappmesser mit CPM-"Superstahl" holen. Aber es wurde wieder ein Bushcraft-/Survival Messer. Das Messer hat einen tollen Griff und eine super Balance. Der XR-Lock arbeitet sehr geschmeidig und es gibt Null Klingenspiel. Aufgeklappt fühlt es sich wie ein feststehendes Messer an - so wie die großen Klapper von CS. Das Messer wurde vom Militär in Auftrag gegeben und ist sehr durchdacht. Der Hersteller macht Messer seit der 13 Generationen. Der Stahl ist extrem rostträge und sehr zäh - und eben sehr einfach zu nachzuschärfen. Dafür bekommt man halt keine Schnitthaltigkeit wie bei D2 oder M390. Aber die Schnitthaltigkeit ist gut und die Klinge kommt sehr scharf an. Es ist eben ein sehr gutes Survival-Klappmesser. Die Krönung: Man bekommt beim Hersteller eine Ersatz-Klinge für 14,- €! Das Militär geht eben nicht zimperlich damit um und man bekommt günstig Ersatz, wenn man die Klinge unabsichtlich zerstört - toll, oder!?
