As the saying goes: nobility has a duty! Princes, kings and emperors spent the night in the famous "Zum Riesen", which was first mentioned in a document in 1158, making it one of the oldest of its kind in Germany. King Ludwig the Bavarian, Empress Maria Theresa and even a certain King of Rock 'n' Roll have stayed at the "Fürstenherberge", as it is unofficially known.
Not far from the restaurant and hotel, Simone Reubelt's store Adelberger - der Laden offers a princely selection for customer king. Adelberger started out as a blacksmith's shop and still produces custom-made knives today. Knives therefore play a prominent role in the range, rounded off by the excellent sharpening service. The demand for other household items increased steadily, so that the portfolio was continually expanded. Today, decorative items, books and even yoga products are part of the feel-good range at home. With over 20 years of sales experience, Simone Reubelt took over the sales business together with her husband in July 2023 and met the new challenge with great enthusiasm and a lot of passion. The owner discovered her passion for knives at the age of around 6, when she received her first knife as a gift from her grandfather, himself a hunter and knife collector. "In my still short time as Managing Director, I have particularly noticed the cordial and uncomplicated cooperation with Boker."
